چکیده

The microwave SQUID multiplexer (μmux) has enabled higher bandwidth or channel counts across a wide range of experiments in particle physics, astronomy, and spectroscopy. large multiplexing factor coupled with recent commercial availability components warm electronics readout systems make it an attractive candidate for requiring cryogenic detector counts. Since the is considered both bolometric calorimetric applications several orders magnitude signal frequencies, understanding device its interaction key to appropriately designing engineering systems. Here, we discuss important factors contributing properties $$\mu$$ mux systems, including intrinsic bandwidth, interactions aliasing. We present simulations measurements devices SLAC Microresonator RF (SMuRF) tone-tracking implications future experimental design.

Adjustable SQUID-resonator direct coupling in microwave SQUID multiplexer for TES microcalorimeter array

We have succeeded in the first demonstration of a simple and accurate resonator-superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) coupling for microwave SQUID multiplexers. A simple theory shows our direct coupling with adjustable fractional inductance in the SQUID loop can decrease the deviation of resonance frequencies from designed values in contrast to a conventional inductive coupling. O...

\nonuniform Sampling: Bandwidth and Aliasing"

For spectroscopic measurements there are good reasons why one might consider using nonuniformly nonsimultaneously sampled complex data. The primary one is that the e ective bandwidth, the largest spectral window free of aliases, can be much wider than with uniformly sampled data. In this paper we discuss nonuniformly nonsimultaneously sampled data, describe how these data are traditionally anal...

Single SQUID Multiplexer for Arrays of Voltage-biased Superconducting Bolometers

We describe a frequency domain superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) multiplexer which monitors a row of low-temperature sensors simultaneously with a single SQUID. Each sensor is ac biased with a unique frequency and all the sensor currents are added in a superconducting summing loop. A single SQUID measures the current in the summing loop, and the individual signals are lock-in ...

Design and performance of the ADMX SQUID-based microwave receiver

The Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX) was designed to detect ultra-weakly interacting relic axion particles by searching for their conversion to microwave photons in a resonant cavity positioned in a strong magnetic field. Given the extremely low expected axion–photon conversion power we have designed, built and operated a microwave receiver based on a Superconducting QUantum Interference Dev...
